Division 07
Industrial Materials
Materials that go into the built environment — a low-carbon rolled concrete we hold the representation for, engineered formwork, sawn and engineered wood, industrial wood, and the paper, pellets and chemistry that come out of a kraft mill. We do not trade packaging materials.
The book
Seven lines, each with its own technical page.
Every product in this division has a page that states the standards it is supplied against, what the documentation covers, and what it will not do. If a page reads like it is arguing against its own product in places, that is deliberate.
Concrete Roll
A concrete-filled polymer fabric supplied on rolls. Unroll it, fix it, hydrate it, and it cures into a hard-wearing concrete layer on ground a batching plant was never going to reach. We hold the representation for this material.
Formwork Girder H20
A glued timber I-beam — plywood web toothed into softwood flanges, 200 mm deep, in lengths from 1.45 to 6 m. Permissible moment 5.0 kNm, permissible shear 11.0 kN, marked to EN 13377.
Softwood
Spruce, pine and fir — whitewood and redwood — and Douglas fir. Kiln-dried to 12% ± 2% in custom sections. Appearance grading and structural grading answer different questions, and buying one when you needed the other is not recoverable after shipment.
Hardwood
Oak, teak and mahogany for joinery and marine work; birch and beech for furniture and interiors. On the high-value species the legality documentation is part of the specification, not an administrative step after it.
Engineered Wood
Birch and combi plywood, film-faced formwork panels, LNG cargo-containment grade, MDF, OSB and particleboard. Bonding class, use class and formaldehyde class stated per order rather than summarised as “waterproof”.
Industrial Wood
Chips for pulp and board production, and sawlogs and round logs by species and diameter class. Sold on a measurement basis agreed before loading, because that is what every dispute in this trade is actually about.
Wood-Derived Products
Northern conifer kraft and greaseproof paper in reels, wood pellets, tall oil derivatives and lignosulphonates. Supplied as paper and as chemistry — the conversion into packaging is someone else's business.
How this division is supplied
Two of these we hold. The rest we buy to your order.
Worth being exact about, because the difference decides how fast you get an answer and what we can commit to.
- Concrete Roll — representation held
- We hold the representation for this material and supply it by the roll against a defined scope of works. Technical support, standard construction details and installation regulations come with it.
- Formwork girders — manufactured product, bought to order
- Produced to the order in the lengths and finish specified, from European production. Not a stock item, and the warranty runs from the date of manufacture — which is why we schedule production against your pour programme rather than shipping aged stock.
- Wood and boards — sourced against a firm requirement
- All types of sawn wood, panels and wood-derived products, bought to the order rather than held in stock. That is a strength on specification and a constraint on lead time: the material is cut and graded to what you asked for, and it is not sitting in a shed waiting for you. Give us the specification and the timing together.
Origin and legality
European mills, documented to the mill.
Wood is the commodity family where sanctions screening and deforestation rules now meet, and where the buyer's first question — where was it cut — is the right one.
- No Russian or Belarusian wood
- Prohibited in the UK and the EU for goods that originate in, are located in, or are consigned from those countries — so the shipping route is not a defence and a third-country transhipment does not clean a parcel. We source from European mills and document origin to the mill rather than to the port of loading.
- Deforestation-free due diligence
- The EU Deforestation Regulation applies from 30 December 2026 for large and medium operators and 30 June 2027 for micro and small operators. It governs the EU market, so it does not attach to a Gulf delivery — but the plot-level data cannot be reconstructed backwards, so we build the chain where a parcel may later reach the EU.
- Chain of custody
- FSC or PEFC where the mill holds it and the parcel is sold as certified, with the certificate number on the documents. Claimed per parcel, or not claimed at all.
- Phytosanitary and packing
- The destination sets the treatment requirement, not the exporter. Confirmed before shipment rather than discovered at the port, and ISPM 15 on packaging material is a separate thing from a phytosanitary certificate for the cargo.
Sodium bicarbonate, ammonium chloride, sodium nitrate, non-concentrated nitric acid (HNO₃ 57–60%), technical sulfuric acid, synthetic hydrochloric acid and gaseous CO₂ are supplied through our chemicals desk, with SDS and transport classification per line.

- See Chemicals — mineral acids, industrial salts and gases, and controlled mining chemicals, each with its documentation and handling basis.
Enquiries
Every enquiry is answered by the desk that handles it.
Send the product, quantity, delivery basis, destination and timing. We revert with availability, an indication and the documentation that accompanies it. Specifications are released once we know who we are speaking with.
