Logistics

We own the part most of our market outsources.

A commodity house that has to go and find freight after the cargo is agreed is quoting a price it does not yet control. We do not have that problem.

Owned logistics

Our own logistics company, not a brokered relationship.

NJORD operates a logistics company as part of the group. Freight is arranged in-house, which changes three things that matter commercially.

We quote delivered terms with confidence. CIF, CFR, DES and DAP indications reflect capacity we hold rather than a rate we hope to get. That is the difference between an indication that firms up and one that moves against you.

We control the schedule. Laycan, transhipment and inland leg are planned as one scope of work rather than a chain of separate bookings between parties who have never spoken.

We handle cargo other forwarders decline. Heated parcels for bitumen and CBFS, lined tanks for acids, dedicated systems for food grade, and IMDG-compliant stowage and segregation for dangerous goods.

Contracted carrier lines

  • MSC
  • CMA CGM
  • Maersk
  • COSCO
  • Evergreen

Contracted container capacity with the five largest liner operators in the world, alongside bulk, tanker and breakbulk relationships arranged per cargo. These lines are named as carriers we contract with; the reference does not imply partnership, agency or endorsement by them.

Secure logistics & valuables transport

  • Brink’s
  • Ferrari Group
  • Loomis

Precious metals do not move on a container booking. Gold, silver and platinum group material is carried by specialist valuables operators under vaulted chain of custody, with armoured collection and delivery, sealed and numbered packaging, dual control at every handover and all-risks cover written to the value of the consignment rather than to a freight-tonnage limit. Named as service providers we contract with; the reference does not imply partnership, agency or endorsement by them.

Services

Available as part of a trade, or on their own.

Not every enquiry needs us to be the seller. Where you hold the commodity relationship but need the execution, we take that scope standalone.

Freight forwarding

Bulk vessel, tanker parcel, container, breakbulk, road and rail — fixed on the basis the cargo actually requires rather than the cheapest available slot.

Project cargo

Out-of-gauge and heavy-lift: route survey, lifting study, permitting, escorts and multimodal coordination from factory gate to project site.

Customs clearance

Tariff classification, certificates of origin, preferential-origin claims, import licensing, phytosanitary and health certification, dangerous-goods declarations — prepared before arrival.

Inspection coordination

Independent surveyor appointment — SGS and equivalent — covering sampling protocol, quality determination, draft survey or shore tank measurement, and retained samples.

Sustainability documentation

PoS / SD transfer under KZR INiG and, through an ISCC EU-certified trading channel, under ISCC EU; mass balance accounting, biogenic share and GHG value reporting, and chain of custody for aviation-destined components.

Enquiries

Every enquiry is answered by the desk that handles it.

Send the product, quantity, delivery basis, destination and timing. We revert with availability, an indication and the documentation that accompanies it. Specifications are released once we know who we are speaking with.
